The first week full week of the NFL preseason is in the books as we got our first look at some of the key battles this offseason.

But beyond the games, the Cowboys turned heads on Sunday when it was reported they plan to sign veteran pass rusher Von Miller, who was a free agent after playing last season for the Washington Commanders.

On Monday, the Colts reportedly agreed to a one-year, $8.32 million deal with veteran receiver Keenan Allen.

When it came to the games themselves, the most intriguing QB battle in the NFL saw Deshaun Watson start for the Cleveland Browns while Shedeur Sanders saw action in the second half against the Bears on Saturday. Watson had more success and led the Browns' offense to 10 points, though he did lose a fumble. Sanders didn't lead the Browns to any points and threw an interception to end his outing.

Another QB to watch on Saturday was Los Angeles Rams first-round rookie Ty Simpson, who performed well in backup duty, finishing 21 of 25 for 190 yards and two touchdowns against the Kansas City Chiefs.

One of the few star QBs who suited up in preseason was Bills' Josh Allen, who led his team to 10 points and looked razor sharp in his two drives of action.

Many other starters, like Matthew Stafford, Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts and Dak Prescott, did not play on Saturday, and likely will sit out the entire preseason.
