Week 2 of preseason concluded Sunday night, and the league wasted no time delivering fans a blockbuster headline by the morning, as the Cleveland Browns officially named Deshaun Watson as their starting quarterback for 2026 over Shedeur Sanders.

Watson is now in line to make his first regular-season start since 2024, when he suffered a torn Achilles, which he later re-tore. Injury news over the weekend included Niners star tight end George Kittle getting off the PUP list, RB Christian McCaffrey rejoining 49ers practice after a bout of calf tightness and Chargers center Tyler Biadasz landing on season-ending IR. Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty became the latest potential injury after reportedly landing awkwardly in practice on Sunday. The team got relatively good news
