Nick Vannett’s stint with the Los Angeles Rams last season wasn’t very notable, nor are most of his stints noteworthy, but nevertheless the tight end is staying in the NFC West. The Seattle Seahawks signed Vannett on Friday, on the eve of their first day of training camp. Vannett, who was originally drafted by the Seahawks in 2016, appeared in seven games with the Rams in 2025, including getting a snap against the Carolina Panthers in the wild card round.

Vannett is a long shot to make Seattle’s roster, but could share some very minor insights into his short time with the Rams.

The Seahawks are Vannett’s ninth different team since he was traded by Seattle to Pittsburgh in 2019. Here are all of his stops:

  • 2019: Seahawks and Steelers
  • 2020: Broncos
  • 2021: Saints
  • 2022: Saints and Giants
  • 2023: Chargers
  • 2024: Titans
  • 2025: Vikings and Rams
  • 2026: Seahawks

The former Ohio State tight end has 1,012 career yards in 10 seasons.

He had zero catches with the Rams in 2025 and is likely to stay at 1,012 career yards, but he will get one more shot and stay in the NFC West. For now.
