The Dallas Cowboys have acquired much-needed help on the defensive line. They have landed defensive lineman Rashan Gary in a trade with the Green Bay Packers in exchange for a fourth-round pick.

We knew the Cowboys were going to be aggressive in getting some pass rush help after they participated in the Maxx Crosby trade sweepstakes. They are probably not done in this area after it was a major problem following the trade of Micah Parsons.

Gary is a former first-round pick in 2019 out of Michigan. He racked up 271 tackles, 46.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles, eight fumble recoveries, and six pass breakups in his seven seasons in Green Bay. His best year was in 2024 when he earned a Pro Bowl nod.

This reunites Gary with Kenny Clark as the two played together for six seasons with the Packers. The defensive line is gathering strength with this trade.
