Patriots Projected To Bounce Back In Week 2 Against The Steelers
The New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers are entering the second weekend of the NFL regular season on different ends of the spectrum. Whereas the former lost to the Seahawks on Wednesday, the latter beat the Falcons on Sunday.
And yet, the bookmakers are still confident in the Patriots’ ability to bounce back in front of their home audience. According to odds presented by FanDuel Sportsbook, Mike Vrabel’s team is more than a field goal favorite in Week 2.
Odds for Patriots vs. Steelers in NFL Week 2
- Spread: Patriots -4.5
- Moneyline: Patriots -245 | Steelers +200
- Over/under: 42.5
New England being favored is no surprise. One game, after all, is not a sample size big enough to make major changes to any preseason projections. And the Patriots who are led by the reigning NFL Coach of the Year and an MVP runner-up quarterback, are very well still capable of a quick turnaround following their 13-10 loss in Seattle.
Of course, a performance like last week’s might prove fatal against Pittsburgh as well — something the team found out first-hand last season: New England turned the ball over five times in a 21-14 loss in Week 3 of 2025. Last week versus the Seahawks, the Patriots lost the turnover battle 3-0.
The Patriots’ home opener game at Gillette Stadium will kick off at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
