Patriots Vs. Seahawks Monday Injury Report: Ben Brown Ruled Out Ahead Of Opener
The New England Patriots practiced without two before departing from Foxborough.
Running back TreVeyon Henderson and center Ben Brown did not participate in Labor Day’s prep as the Super Bowl LX champions await. The latter did not travel with the team, either, and has officially been ruled out for the season opener at Lumen Field.
Here’s the second injury report leading up to Wednesday’s 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff versus the Seattle Seahawks.
DID NOT PARTICIPATE
Patriots
- RB TreVeyon Henderson (ankle)
- C Ben Brown (knee — out)
Seahawks
- S Ty Okada (hamstring)
A right ankle injury sustained on Aug. 24 has kept Henderson sidelined for two weeks. That held true on Monday despite not being ruled out. “We’ll see how he feels today. We’ll see if he can do anything,” Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel said of the second-year running back prior to practice. “He’s been working extremely hard to come back, and we’ll see where that goes here today. We do have a few more days before, but we’ll see what he’s able to do today.” New England’s offense has also been missing Brown since the preseason opener. The versatile lineman was released and re-signed following the 53-man roster deadline, but will not be on hand Wednesday night. Summer addition Greg Van Roten, now 105 starts into his NFL career, slots in as the top interior backup.
LIMITED PARTICIPATION
Patriots
- No players listed
Seahawks
- WR Tory Horton (hamstring)
- OT Josh Jones (knee)
- S Nick Emmanwori (ankle)
The Patriots logged consecutive practices with no partial participants before flying to the Pacific Northwest. The Seahawks, meanwhile, moved forward with three in that capacity. Count Emmanwori, a reigning NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year finalist, among them. The No. 35 overall pick in last year’s draft class underwent ankle surgery prior to training camp and has been eased back from the physically unable to perform list. The rest of the game statuses will follow on the eve of the season’s kickoff.
FULL PARTICIPATION
Patriots
- DT Christian Barmore (knee)
Seahawks
- RB Emanuel Wilson (hamstring)
- TE A.J. Barner (oblique)
- G Anthony Bradford (knee)
- CB Julian Neal (quadricep)
After being listed as a non-participant on the first injury report of the year, Barmore returned for Labor Day’s work outside Gillette Stadium. The veteran defensive tackle went in full while continuing to manage a knee injury. He started a career-high 16 games for New England in 2025 and finished with 29 tackles, 11 quarterback hits and a pair of sacks.
