Rams Have Favorable Upcoming Schedule To Right Their Season
The Los Angeles Rams have fallen to 2-4 and though their season looks bleak, Sean McVay’s team isn’t out of contention yet. Their next four games are against teams that before the season started, fans would agree they should beat them all.
The Raiders, Chargers, Commanders, and Cardinals. That’s followed by a bye week to reset at midseason, potentially at 5-3 or 6-4.
It may feel like the Rams have lost hope after losing to Arizona at home on Sunday, but we’ve seen McVay write this story before and come back from it to make the playoffs. This is a team winning the yardage battle, but not the scoreboard.
The Rams have out-gained their opponents by a league-best 644 yards this season.

They are 2-4.
It’s not the end of the season yet
They still have another 11 games to define their season. Their last three losses have been decided by one score. No moral victories in the NFL, sure, but this team is still competitive as the Rams aren’t getting steamrolled. They are fighting, they aren’t winning.
If the Rams can improve on their level of play even just a tad, that could translate to the wins they are looking for. That could turn their one score losses into one score wins, or better. Those wins, could turn their season from a lost one, to a winning one.
There’s still time.
Are the Rams dead in the water?
Technically, no.
At 2-4, the Rams don’t have the worst record in the NFL, they aren’t eliminated from the playoffs, but in a season where they were projected as the best team in the NFL, a 2-4 start is a massive disappointment. It’s so disappointing that people are ready to fairly write the Rams off.
Now, whereas writing the Rams off may be fair after six weeks, is it right?
You’re telling me there’s a chance for L.A. to make the postseason?
Yes. The Rams can still make the postseason. Although L.A. is technically in 14th place, they only have one more loss than the team in eighth place, which is the Seattle Seahawks. They’re only two games back of the team in fifth place, which is the Green Bay Packers.

The Rams could win their next two games — against the Raiders, who have lost three in a row, and the Chargers, who have lost six in a row — and be right back at .500. A 4-4 record would certainly put L.A. in position to be in a wild card position by midseason.
Consider that the Eagles just put Jalen Hurts on season-ending IR, and that even the Seahawks are struggling have lost three of the last four.
It would be hard to justify hope in a tough conference, but that’s not what the NFC is right now. Not even close.
The Rams can still turn their season around and breathe new life into this season.
Unfortunately, McVay’s slow starts could once again doom the Rams to a wild card instead of a division title, and that is a problem. Wild cards don’t win Super Bowls, usually, and division winners do. The 49ers are aiming to go to 6-0 on Monday night against the Commanders, and L.A. could fall too far behind to catch up.
But with Myles Garrett set to return in the next couple of weeks, the Rams hope, the best version of this team may not have been set yet.
Losing to the Cardinals is a gut punch. It’s not the end of the match.
