I can’t say whether Ty Simpson has had a great start to his career with the Los Angeles Rams, but if you check out Simpson’s quotes (you can see some below), he seems to be trying his best. On some level, that is all that can be asked. Try your best.

Now, depending where you look, what you search on the internet, Simpson has struggled to pass Stetson Bennett. Is that true? It’s on the internet, so it must be true. Even if Simpson is moving along slower than Bennett at this point, how bad is that? If the internet says that’s bad, then that’s bad.

We try to have fun around here, but here’s the rub: On some level Simpson hasn’t even really begun his first NFL season, yet. He’s entering it, and he’s getting acclimated to life in the NFL. And to hear Simpson tell it, he’s doing his best and taking it all in. Who knew? Or maybe so far, Simpson is doing exactly what the Rams expected. Maybe that’s why they drafted him.

We’ll see, but it’s July and the NFL storylines should only get hotter from here. Thank you for checking out Turf Show Times! It’s almost Friday! We’re close, real close. Have a great day!

“”[It’s like] drinking from a fire hydrant,” Simpson said during OTAs. “You’re expected [to do] a lot. The quarterback runs the show here, just how I like it. But it’s just making sure that you’re disciplined and you’re detail-oriented.”

Despite the whirlwind start to his NFL career after being selected No. 13 in April’s draft, Simpson said he feels fortunate to be in a quarterback room learning from Matthew Stafford.

“I mean, he’s the MVP for a reason,” Simpson said of Stafford, who earned the award this past season. “Everything he does, he’s so just aware of everything. Aware of how everything works [and is] so detailed. Being in the room with him is just such a blessing.”

“There’s a continuing conversation regarding how long Matthew Stafford will play and for the Los Angeles Rams, keeping their QB1 successful is the key to maintaining his happiness. In order to maintain the success of their top gunslinger, they must surround him with young talent.

The Rams have done so through bold trades and smart drafting. That couldn’t be made more evident than with CBS Sports’ list of the NFL’s top 25 players who are 25 and younger. Writer Tyler Sullivan named Rams cornerback Trent McDuffie and receiver Puka Nacua to the list.“

Rams get game-changing new Aaron Donald return update from NFL insider (sportingnews.com)

“Shockingly, Aaron Donald, who terrorized opposing quarterbacks for years during his nine-year career with the Rams, has been linked to a 2026-27 reunion with Los Angeles following the Garrett trade.

While a potential unretirement move was more an alluring fantasy than a legitimate opportunity at first, NFL insider Jason La Canfora recently provided the public with a new game-changing update on the chances of Donald signing with the Rams in the foreseeable future.

“With training camp now less than a month away, the NFL is widely anticipating the return of future Hall of Fame defensive tackle Aaron Donald to the Los Angeles Rams,” Canfora wrote last Tuesday.“
