Free-agent wide receiver Rashid Shaheed is returning to the Seattle Seahawks, the team announced on Friday. Shaheed has signed a reported three-year, $51 million deal with $34.7 million in guaranteed money, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Shaheed joined the Seahawks in a buzzy midseason trade from the New Orleans Saints in November. The 27-year-old receiver quickly settled onto the team, finding his footing as a return specialist and helping lead Seattle to its first Super Bowl win in over a decade.

Across nine games after the trade, Shaheed picked up 628 yards across kick and punt returns, and caught 15 balls for another 188 yards. The receiver scored two return touchdowns in the regular season, plus another kick return touchdown in the postseason — an opening play in the Seahawks' definitive win over the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC divisional round.

Shaheed received his second Pro Bowl nod as a result of the 2025-26 season.

The move comes after the Seahawks lost one of their biggest offensive weapons Monday, with running back and Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III signing with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Shaheed joined the Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2022, and was named first-team All-Pro as a returner in his second season. New Orleans received a 2026 fourth- and fifth-round pick from Seattle in the deal.
