The Baltimore Ravens have signed safety K’Von Wallace, per a team announcement, adding some veteran depth at a position that has quietly been crucial to their defense over the last few years.

Last year, the Ravens did not enter the season with a clear third safety on defense, forcing them to trade for Alohi Gilman to free up Kyle Hamilton for a more versatile role near the line of scrimmage. This offseason, the team added former Patriot Jaylinn Hawkins to occupy that third safety role, and Wallace will provide additional depth.

The 28-year-old veteran has appeared in 74 games across his six-year career with over 1,500 snaps on defense – primarily as a free safety or in the box – and over 1,000 snaps on special teams. In Baltimore, he will compete for a depth safety role behind Hamilton, Malaki Starks, and Hawkins.

Wallace was originally an Eagles fourth-round pick in 2020. He appeared in 45 games across his first three seasons with a tertiary role on defense and a core role on special teams. He was waived during final roster cuts in 2023 and quickly found a new home in Arizona, where he started five of the first six games of the season.

The Cardinals released Wallace after Budda Baker returned from injury, and the Titans swiftly claimed him off waivers for a starting role in their defense. Wallace finished the season with career-highs across the board, including 12 starts, 89 tackles, six passes defended, and his lone interception to date.

The Seahawks signed Wallace during the 2024 offseason, Mike Macdonald’s first in Seattle. He appeared in nine games before suffering a season-ending ankle injury. He then spent the 2025 season on the Texans’ practice squad with three appearances and one start.

Wallace’s time in Seattle gives him some familiarity with Jesse Minter’s defensive scheme, which has many commonalities with Macdonald’s system. His special teams experience may give him a better chance at making the 53-man roster.
