According to Ian Rapaport of NFL Network, the Chiefs are in “deep talks” with the Los Angeles Rams to trade McDuffie in exchange for a compensation package centered around the 29th overall pick in this year’s draft.
The report comes a day after the Arrowhead Pride staff covered interesting comments from Los Angeles’ general manager, Les Snead, indicating the team wants to be aggressive about immediately improving the defensive backfield.

It will be a homecoming for McDuffie, whose hometown is in Orange County and within a half hour of Los Angeles. As we wrote yesterday, McDuffie has a connection with Rams’ defensive passing-game coordinator Jimmy Lake, who led the recruiting effort at the University of Washington for McDuffie.
