The New Orleans Saints got a win, and even with some injuries in the rookie class, there were still some strong performances. In Week 3, those performances can hopefully continue.

DT Christen Miller

Christen Miller missed a game again, and I’m not sure he’ll play against the Atlanta Falcons. Hopefully he does, because New Orleans will have to stop Bijan Robinson.

TE Oscar Delp

Delp has turned into an important part of this offense, and eventhough he wasn’t a part of the incredible TE pass-catching performances we saw Sunday, he made a huge difference in pass protection and run blocking. Against Atlanta, I would love to see Delp get more snaps as a receiver, but his importance in blocking may stop that from happening.

OG Jeremiah Wright

Cesar Ruiz is still the solidified starter, even after struggling against Las Vegas.

WR Bryce Lance

Lance could have had a massive play on Sunday, but Tyler Shough just missed the pass. His deep-threat ability hasn’t been used yet, so that would have been an excellent start. Lance’s blocking, like Delp’s, was extremely important, and it’s making him hard to take off the field.

I hope we do get to see that deep play happen against the Falcons.

WR Barion Brown

Against the Raiders, Brown was injured, and the Saints missed him on kick returns. It wasn’t great throughout the game, but hopefully Brown can return and fix that.

OT Mason Murphy

With the Saints’ recent additions at offensive line, I’m not sure what Murphy’s path is to starting.

Injured players:

  • WR Jordyn Tyson
  • DB Lorenzo Styles Jr.
