Saquon Barkley Injury Update As Eagles' Star Leaves Game Vs. Rams

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley suffered a hamstring injury in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams and left the contest.

Barkley was hurt while running out of bounds on a 6-yard gain on the Eagles' first play of the second offensive drive. At first slow to get up, he then walked off and went to the medical tent and locker room for further evaluation.

He was initially ruled questionable to return before being downgraded to out for the remainder of the game.

The Eagles were already playing without several key players on offense, including wide receiver DeVonta Smith, tight end Dallas Goedert and right tackle Lane Johnson, who is missing the game due to "personal reasons."

Tank Bigsby replaced Barkley on the drive, carrying three times for 6 yards before the Eagles settled for a 29-yard field goal.

Philadelphia went three-and-out on its first drive. Barkley had two carries for eight yards before leaving.

The injury marks the second time so far this season that Barkley has departed a game after being hurt. He suffered a stinger on the first play of a Week 2 win over the Tennessee Titans, though he returned for the second half.

Will Saquon Barkley return for Eagles against Rams?

No. Barkley was downgraded to out in the second quarter.
