Seahawks Work Out Recently Waived Buffalo Bills Fullback
New offensive coordinator Brian Fleury, along with this Seattle Seahawks team, want a fullback to be a part of how they operate on offense. In San Francisco, Fleury helped to incorporate Kyle Juszczyk into both the ground game and the passing attack from the position. With second-year fullback Robbie Ouzts’ season over, the Seahawks are working out another fullback, per the NFL’s transaction wire.
Undrafted rookie Jackson Acker is a true fullback who was just released by the Buffalo Bills on Monday.
This comes after Brock Lampe was signed to Seattle’s roster, by way of the New England Patriots on August 6th. Lampe played three snaps in the Seahawks’ first preseason game against the Cowboys on Saturday.
A little competition can’t hurt. Back to Acker.
He has some experience doing different things at the college level.
The Seahawks may not be anywhere close to hurting for his help in the passing game, but nice to see. Despite that flash play, Acker has extensive experience taking snaps as a traditional blocking FB.

Time will tell how competition for fullback snaps will shake out between Acker, Lampe, Brady Russell and the rest of the tight ends who can line up back there.
