The Sixers’ roster business continued Sunday.

The team announced that it has waived 24-year-old wing Dalen Terry.

Terry played 14 times for the Sixers last season and averaged 4.1 points, 1.6 assists and 1.6 rebounds in 12.4 minutes per game. The Sixers first picked Terry up on a two-way contract and then converted him to a standard NBA deal late in the season. The 18th overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft was not part of the Sixers’ playoff rotation.

The Sixers last month exercised Terry’s club option of approximately $2.6 million for the 2026-27 season. According to Spotrac, his salary was non-guaranteed until Jan. 10, at which point it would have been fully guaranteed.

With their deals for LeBron James and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, the Sixers will need to clear one more contract from their books to stay under the first luxury-tax apron, per ESPN’s Bobby Marks. The team became hard capped at the first apron when it signed Dean Wade using the non-taxpayer mid-level exception.
