With the November 10 NFL trade deadline rapidly approaching, the Indianapolis Colts are facing one of their most difficult decisions in recent memory: whether to trade superstar running back Jonathan Taylor. Following the departures of Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner last week, Indianapolis appears to be embracing a rebuilding approach, and Taylor could be the next major name on his way out. Multiple teams have reportedly expressed interest in acquiring the 27-year-old, including the Denver Broncos, Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks and New York Giants, with the Colts reportedly seeking compensation equivalent to a first-round pick.

While Taylor remains one of the NFL’s premier running backs, the question is whether his remaining prime years align with Indianapolis’ timeline for returning to contention. He is under contract through 2028 and has publicly expressed his desire to remain with the franchise, but with the Colts sitting at 2-6 and already without their 2027 first-round selection, acquiring additional premium draft capital could prove extremely valuable. On the other hand, trading Taylor would leave an already struggling offense without its most dependable playmaker, potentially making life even more difficult for whoever eventually takes over at quarterback. With the deadline just days away, should Indianapolis capitalize on Taylor’s trade value or retain him as a cornerstone of its future?

Are you confident in the Colts?

Any optimism surrounding the Colts following Chris Ballard’s dismissal appears to be fading quickly, particularly after Sunday’s humiliating 42-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Indianapolis was thoroughly outplayed on both sides of the football, trailing 28-0 at halftime before eventually suffering its fourth consecutive defeat. The offense managed just seven points, while the defense surrendered 42 in a performance that raised further questions about the team’s immediate future under Shane Steichen. What was already shaping up to be a disappointing season has now turned into a potential organizational reset, with several established veterans either traded or reportedly drawing interest from contenders.

Last week’s Reacts survey showed that only 31 percent of Colts fans believed the franchise was headed in the right direction, a significant decline from the previous week’s 47 percent. That drop came after the trades of Nelson and Buckner, and the latest defeat is unlikely to have improved the mood surrounding the team. However, with the organization finally beginning to make significant changes and potentially accumulating additional draft capital, some fans may view the current struggles as a necessary step toward building a more competitive roster. Whether that long-term optimism outweighs the frustration of watching another lost season remains to be seen. So, after eight games and an increasingly dramatic roster overhaul, how confident are you in the direction of the Indianapolis Colts?
