A second-round pick in 2019, Murphy-Bunting has spent most of his career with Tampa Bay, followed by stints with the Titans and Cardinals. He most recently started 15 games in 2024 with Arizona, logging 52 total tackles and three interceptions.

The 6’0, 195-pound cornerback ran a 4.42-second 40-yard dash coming out of college.

Murphy-Bunting spent most of 2025 on injured reserve, and then signed with the Tampa Bay practice squad in 2026. Now, he provides the Steelers some extra cornerback depth following the team’s Joey Porter Jr. trade last week.
