Tailback-needy Seahawks Will Give Joe Mixon A Look-see
Running back Joe Mixon last played in January 2025. He could be inching toward a return.
The tailback-needy Seahawks are bringing Mixon in for a visit, reports Jay Glazer of Fox Sports.
As we understand it, Mixon is traveling to Seattle today and will work out for the Seahawks on Monday.
Mixon dropped a hint on Saturday, with a Twitter post that included a video and a couple of emojis — one of which was an hourglass.
A second-round pick of the Bengals in 2017, Mixon spent seven years with the Bengals and one with the Texans. He spent all of 2025 on the non-football injury list. The Texans released him in the offseason.
Mixon has 7,428 rushing yards and five 1,000-yard seasons. In his only year with the Texans, Mixon rushed for 1,016 yards.
With rookie first-rounder Jadarian Price on IR and Zach Charbonnet not yet back from a January torn ACL (his three-week practice window has opened), the Seahawks have Emmanuel Wilson, George Holani, and Velus Jones Jr. at tailback on Sunday vs. the Chargers.
