Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Pat Mcafee Roasted During Pro Football Hall Of Fame Speech

Adam Vinatieri became the third pure placekicker to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, August 8.

The 53-year-old kicker's speech started as a poignant one that focused on thanking his family and those who supported him during his 24-year NFL career.

But after a while, Vinatieri shifted the tone, turning into a roast of sorts for many of his former teammates, coaches and Hall of Fame counterparts.

From Bill Belichick to Tom Brady to Peyton Manning, nobody was safe from Vinatieri's barbs. Here's a look at the best roasts from Vinatieri's speech.

Bill Belichick

Vinatieri's pivot started with a jab at Belichick, who coached him across seven seasons with the Patriots but is currently coaching in college at UNC.

"Unfortunately, Bill couldn't make it today. There's a lot going on at UNC right now," Vinatieri said. " ... I thought it was because training camp had already started, but in truth, he was judging his girlfriend's cheerleading competition."

Belichick's girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, is a competitive cheerleader. It wasn't immediately clear how the 74-year-old coach received the joke, as he wasn't in attendance for the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Tom Brady

Vinatieri also took multiple shots at Brady. It started when he referred to Drew Bledsoe as the greatest quarterback in Patriots history. It continued when he took a jab at the 49-year-old for his antics at Fanatics Fest in July.

"I have a few more Tom Brady jokes but I was afraid he’d run up on the stage and give me a 'Will Smith' like he did Logan Paul last month," Vinatieri said.

Peyton Manning

Before praising Manning for his leadership and greatness, Vinatieri took aim at one of the Hall of Fame quarterback's most striking features.

"Peyton, thank you for generously donating your forehead for today's teleprompter," Vinatieri said. "A gigantic forehead means a big brain, and your football IQ is unmatched, buddy."

Manning was the first of Vinatieri's targets to be present for his roast. The 50-year-old nodded along to his former teammate's quips, with a big smile on his face.

Pat McAfee

Vinatieri saved his raunchiest joke for his McAfee, who served as his primary holder across his eight-year career with the Colts.

"Pat McAfee is here," Vinatieri said. "The only other person who loved holding my balls more than my wife."

Vinatieri quickly pivoted to explaining that his wife would hold the football for him during his offseason workouts, but the double entendre was clear. Vinatieri's wife, Valeri, was shown on camera shortly after the joke, smiling and laughing.
