There’s no denying that it’s been a deeply disappointing season for the Golden State Warriors. They weren’t as competitive as they hoped to be when healthy, and then the health completely fell off the rails, with Jimmy Butler III suffering a season-ending ACL tear, and Steph Curry going down with a case of runner’s knee that has cost him a few months of play. The Dubs will have an uphill battle just to escape the play-in tournament, and a deathly first-round matchup should they prove able to.

At first glance, things don’t appear easier next year, though there’s hope. Curry will have all offseason to get healthy, and will likely begin the year in a good place. Butler will miss the first half of the season, at the very least, but should be fully healthy for a stretch run and the playoffs (Moses Moody as well).

But we know that the Warriors don’t think it’s enough. They need reinforcements. There are already rumors about how they’ll spend the summer trying to land Kawhi Leonard or LeBron James, and we know they’ll re-enter the Giannis Antetokounmpo sweepstakes. It all feels a touch far-fetched, but then again, we said that about Kevin Durant many years ago.

So we want to know your thoughts, Dub Nation: Will Mike Dunleavy Jr. be successful in chasing a star this coming offseason?
