The NFL season is back in full force, and a wild Week 1 is in the books. NFLSU is a brand known across the league, and this year will be another great year for the brand (pending injuries). Here’s how things looked in Week 1.

Seahawks 13 vs. Patriots 10

Former LSU linemen Will Campbell and Anthony Bradford had okay games, but each one got called for two penalties. Overall, not a great showing by NFLSU standards.

Grade: C-

49ers 27 vs* Rams 7 (Melbourne, Australia)

Rams LB Omar Speights was the only LSU connection in this game. He had two tackles and a pass defense. The only other thing worth noting is that the Rams refused to respect the International Date Line and got punished for it

Lions 31 vs. Saints 30 (OT)

Lions LB Devin White got three tackles, one solo, and Saints WR Barion Brown had 79 all-purpose yards. It was fine.

Grade: C

Steelers 20 vs. Falcons 13

Falcons DT Maason Smith had one pass defense and LB Harold Perkins Jr. had one solo tackle. Steelers LB Patrick Queen had seven tackles (two solo). It was fine enough.

Grade: C

Ravens 41 @ Colts 23

Neither of the Ravens’ former Tigers played a snap in this game. As for the Colts, DE Arden Key recorded half a sack and rookie S A.J. Haulcy recorded seven tackles (four solo). Key was the Colts’ highest-graded defender while Haulcy was the team’s lowest-graded defender. It seems Key’s having a bit of a resurgence.

Bills 36 @ Texans 31

Bills C Lloyd Cushenberry and LS Reid Ferguson did well, but obviously didn’t have notable performances. Texans WR Kayshon Boutte had two targets and one catch for 21 yards. TE Foster Moreau caught both of his targets for 15 yards. CB Derek Stingley Jr. had four solo tackles and forced a fumble which wasn’t a turnover. LB Danielle Hunter had a pass defense. G Ed Ingram started and did well. This was a great game for NFLSU representation even if there weren’t any big numbers, so it gets a good grade.

Grade: B+

Bears 59 @ Panthers 37 (Scorigami!)

Neither Tiger who played in this game, Panthers G Damien Lewis and Bears WR Zavion Thomas, recorded a stat. That said, Lewis got a very good PFF grade of 87.0, so this keeps the game from getting too low a grade.

Jaguars 34 vs. Browns 10

In a total blowout, Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. caught all three of his targets for 40 yards and a fumble that wasn’t a turnover. Browns S Grant Delpit recorded one pass defense and three total tackles (1 solo). This was okay at best.

Jets 23 @ Titans 10

You and I had more yards than Jets TE Mason Taylor. He had three targets and caught two balls for -2 yards. Titans CB Cor’Dale Flott had three solo tackles. Very little here.

Grade: C-

Bengals 33 vs. Buccaneers 27

For the Bucs, TE Bauer Sharp recorded no stats across his one offensive snap and 15 special teams snaps. RB Josh Williams ripped off a 47-yard kickoff return to set up the team’s last TD drive. For the Bengals, QB Joe Burrow went 25/35 through the air for 1 TD and 1 INT for a QBR of 89.5. He added five carries for 20 yards on the ground, though one of those carries was a kneel for a loss of a yard. WR Ja’Marr Chase had four targets and caught two passes for 12 yards, but one of those catches was for a loss of four. By Joe and Ja’Marr game standards, this was okay, but at least it ended in a win.

Cardinals 26 @ Chargers 14

CB Donte Jackson of the Chargers was the only former Tiger playing in this game. He recorded two solo tackles. I don’t know how the Cardinals pulled this off.

Vikings 39 vs. Packers 22 (Scorigami!!)

No former Tigers played for the Packers. Vikings S Jay Ward only played on special teams. Star WR Justin Jefferson had a solid day. He was targeted nine times and caught eight balls for 92 yards and 2 TDs in a game where Carson Wentz came in rather early to replace the injured Kyler Murray.

Grade: B

Raiders 27 vs. Dolphins 13

Nobody from LSU played a snap in this game.

Grade: F-

Eagles 24 vs. Commanders 22

The Eagles don’t have an active former Tiger. LB K’Lavon Chaisson only recorded two QB hits. LSU’s former Heisman-winning starting QB was 18/34 for 164 yards and 2 TDs for a QBR of 85.9 through the air and added 31 yards on five carries on the ground. He led a potential game-tying drive, but threw a pass well short of the goal line on the two-point conversion that would’ve tied the game. Oh no, anyway.

Grade: C+

Giants 28 vs. Cowboys 20

WR Odell Beckham Jr. made his return to MetLife Stadium, but he never had a target in this game. Giants WR Malik Nabers was targeted nine times and had six catches for 69 yards. Since the Cowboys lack an NFLSU player, this game wasn’t great.

Chiefs 31 vs. Broncos 10

Broncos DE Sai’vion Jones played, but he didn’t record a stat. Chiefs CB Mansoor Delane got his career off to a strong start with a pick on the third play of his career. Sadly, he suffered a shoulder injury and was out the rest of the game. CB Kristian Fulton had one solo tackle. Neither DE Jack Pyburn nor QB Garrett Nussmeier played. The interception is fantastic, but the rest of it can’t save it from being okay.

Grade: C+
