Zay Flowers Injury Update As Ravens Wr Misses Practice
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers re-aggravated a hamstring injury in Week 1; the shifty receiver's possible absence in Week 2 would be a significant blow to Lamar Jackson and the offense.
Flowers hauled in five passes for a career-high 150 yards and a touchdown before the injury, helping Baltimore jump out to an impressive start under new head coach Jesse Minter.
The Ravens lost rookie wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane, who was placed on Injured Reserve (IR) after suffering a wrist injury that required surgery. These injuries make Rashod Bateman Baltimore's top healthy wide receiver as they prepare for their home opener against the New Orleans Saints.
Here's the latest on Flowers' injury and status for Week 2:

The Ravens star wide receiver did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 16 and is currently listed as questionable for Week 2.
Given the nature of his practice week, with one DNP thus far, Flowers appears to be a true toss-up heading into Sunday.
The 26-year-old led Baltimore's receivers with six targets in Week 1. On Monday, Sept. 14 coach Jesse Minter said Flowers was "day-to-day."
Ravens WR depth chart
Here's how the pecking order in the Ravens wide receiver room currently shakes out:
- Zay Flowers (hamstring)
- Rashod Bateman
- Ja'Kobi Lane (IR - wrist)
- Devontez Walker (groin)
- Chris Moore
- Elijah Sarratt
- LaJohntay Wester
- Gage Larvadain
Baltimore's wide receiver room is banged up heading into Week 2.
Flowers is day-to-day with his hamstring injury and could return next week, barring a setback.
Meanwhile, Devontez Walker already missed Week 1 with a groin injury. Rookie Elijah Sarratt was a healthy scratch against the Colts as well, but he will likely see his first NFL action with Lane on IR.
Chris Moore was signed from the practice squad and Gage Larvadain was signed to the practice squad Sept. 16.
On Sept. 14, Jesse Minter said, "there's potential" the Ravens could sign receivers to the roster due to injuries.
"Tez Walker and [Elijah] Sarratt – I have a lot of confidence in those guys. They've had a ton of reps in this offense. Tez was dealing with something minor this past week, so we sort of pushed him. Those two guys have a real opportunity to get themselves in rhythm," Minter said.
"And then we'll look at all options to figure out what's best for the 70 guys that we have available, as you talk about the 53 and practice squad."
