Addressing the Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao rally in Hyderabad, Union Home Minister Amit Shah mounted a fierce attack on the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi over electoral rolls and corruption. Amit Shah rebutted allegations regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise, asserting that Congress opposed it purely to protect Bangladeshi infiltrators who form its vote bank. Dismissing claims regarding thirteen crore deleted votes, he explained that over six crore citizens shifted addresses, nearly three crore had died, and one crore were duplicate entries, while three crore non-existent names belonged to illegal immigrants. He asserted, “Bhartiya Janata Party ek-ek ghuspaithiyon ko matdata soochi aur desh ke bahar nikal kar dam legi.” Challenging the Opposition to a special session of Parliament on EVMs and SIR, he questioned why Congress accepted power in Telangana, Himachal Pradesh, and southern states if electronic voting machines were faulty. Turning to regional governance, Shah alleged that Revanth Reddy turned Telangana into an automated teller machine for the central leadership in New Delhi, dubbing local levies as Rahul Tax through Revanth Reddy.
