Travis Kelce Offers His Best Dating Advice Two Years After Winning Over Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce shared his go-to dating advice with a fan on the latest episode of his podcast "New Heights." Kelce, who hosts the show with his brother Jason Kelce, is set to marry his fiancée Taylor Swift later this year.

An audience member called into the podcast wondering how he should ask a girl out.

“I think first you gotta figure out, what do you like about her?” Travis asked. “You like the way she looks? You like the way she dresses? You like how funny she is? You like like how kind she is?”

The Kansas City Chiefs player also recommended paying one's love interest a "compliment."

“That will get you in the door or at least,” he explained. “You gauge how she reacts to that and then that gives you a better understanding of whether or not she would be willing to go out with you. But that's always a good conversation starter to let someone know that you like them.”

"Here's what you do, you ask her out," added Jason, who retired from the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023.

“Yeah, there's no other way around it other than you just gotta do it, man," Travis suggested. "You just gotta own it. You gotta have some cojones. What's the worst she's gonna say? No?”

The athlete added that the caller should “have something in the back pocket" when asking a girl out.

“Have a conversation starter and then have a nice segue into maybe hanging out at the movies or at the mall or wherever your destination is,” Travis shared. “You gotta have a destination where you wanna take her. That's enticing. And then, yeah, go from there, bud.”

Travis famously courted Swift in perhaps the most public way possible—by shouting her out on his podcast. In a 2023 episode, he described his disappointment after he wasn't able to give Swift his phone number at the Eras Tour. The rest, as they say, is history.
