Brown Harris Stevens (BHS) is welcoming Maggie Ross as its new managing director of sales for the firm’s Brooklyn operation, according to an announcement on Wednesday.

Prior to accepting this position at BHS, Ross was an associate real estate broker at Compass

In her new role at BHS, Ross will be tasked with overseeing all operations across the brokerage’s four Brooklyn offices and collaborating with other BHS corporate and regional market leaders.

“I’m thrilled to join Brown Harris Stevens at such a dynamic moment for the firm,” Ross said in a statement. “This role gives me the opportunity to elevate the work I find most meaningful — Brooklyn, supporting its agents, and deepening our connection to the community — within one of the most respected brokerages in the country.”

Ross has over 15 years of experience working with buyers and sellers throughout New York City. She began her career at a boutique brokerage in Cobble Hill before moving to a larger firm in Brooklyn. Before beginning her real estate career, Ross practiced antitrust and commercial litigation in Manhattan.

“Maggie is a star with a strong command of both the Brooklyn market and the broader New York City landscape,” Bess Freedman, the CEO of Brown Harris Stevens, said in a statement. “Her strategic mindset, collaborative approach and steady leadership make her the ideal choice to guide our Brooklyn operations and further align the region with the firm’s long-term vision.”
