Evergreen Real Estate Group Breaks Ground On 120-unit Affordable Community In Columbus
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Evergreen Real Estate Group has broken ground on a new affordable seniors housing community in Columbus.
Upon completion, the assisted living community — Green Oaks of Canal Winchester — will total 120 units, with 67 studio and 53 one-bedroom apartments. Delivery of the development is scheduled for March 2027.
Gardant Management Solutions will operate the community. Amenities at the property will include a fitness room, beauty salon, game room, library, activity rooms, computer stations, community rooms and lounges, walking paths, sitting areas, a private patio and a gazebo recreation area.
The Ohio Housing Finance Agency approved 4 percent low-income housing tax credits (LIHTCs) for the development and issued tax-exempt private activity bonds. D.A. Davidson underwrote and placed the bonds.
WJW Architects designed the community, and The Douglas Co. is serving as the general contractor.
