[ga, Usa] My A/c Has Been Out For A Week, And Highs Have Been Over 90 For Four Consecutive Days. What Is My Landlord Obligated To Do And When?

Location: Atlanta, GA (DeKalb County, within city limits)

My air conditioning has been out for a week. Highs have been over 85 the entire time, and over 90 for four straight days. The house has been steadily getting hotter -- high thermostat readings of 85, 85, 86, and 87 the last four days. My landlord immediately acknowledged the AC wasn't working upon report, sent someone out to look at it within 24 hours, and then provided no update for 48+ hours. After 3-4 days, they said they were unable to source a replacement part in less than a week, so they would replace the whole AC instead. Now, they're saying they're having issues sourcing a new unit. They gave us $600 in visa gift cards two days ago which I have used on fans, a portable AC unit (cools up to 250 square feet, I'm in a 2/1 unit) and other misc things to keep myself and my pets cool. Because I have a dog and cat who have not yet made peace with each other AND because I don't have a license, it's pretty untenable for me to stay somewhere else while caring for both animals. Even if I wanted to get a hotel/Airbnb, it's Labor Day weekend, a major football weekend, a major convention weekend, and a major pride festival weekend, meaning very few lodging options are available and they are more expensive than usual. I am on multiple medications that put me at increased risk of dehydration and heat-related illnesses. My landlord is aware of everything stated above.

It seems in Georgia, the laws surrounding this are pretty vague (repairs required in a "reasonable" amount of time and keep the unit at a "reasonable" temp, but no explicit timeframes or temperature ranges codified on state or local level). Is there anything I can do to force or encourage my landlord to move more quickly on this?
