Location: Richmond, Virginia

Three months ago, I (32m) got rear-ended at a stoplight on my way home from work. It wasn't a major crash, so after exchanging insurance information, I told the EMTs I felt fine and went home. The next day my neck was sore, but I assumed it was just normal whiplash and went back to work. A few weeks later, my right hand started going numb, I was getting constant headaches, and I couldn't sit at my desk for long without pain shooting into my shoulder. An MRI eventually showed two herniated discs in my neck, and now I'm facing physical therapy, injections, and possibly surgery.

The insurance company closed my claim because I said I felt okay after the accident, and now they're arguing my injuries aren't related since I didn't seek treatment immediately. I've never been in this situation before and honestly don't know what my options are. Is it still worth talking to a personal injury lawyer, or did I wait too long to have any chance of recovering my medical costs and lost wages?
