Am I Legally Allowed To Take My Devices That My Parents Have Gifted Me, With Me When I Move Out At 18? + If You Can Give Me Any Advice About The Stuff Under More Context

Location: California Age: 17 School: High School Senior Work: None but job secured.

I am not on great terms with my family and am in the process of getting ready to move out at 18. I want to know if Im allowed to take my electronics with me.

I have an Ipad, laptop, switch, and camcorder that were gifted to me for my birthday and for Christmas. There were no rules or conditions to the gifts as they were simply given to me as presents.

I had previously asked a law enforcement officer while they were investigating reports from when I was going through periods of physical harm and verbal abuse from my parents, and she said that I was entitled to nothing other than what I have paid for. I found it confusing as if they were gifts, I assumed that they were legally mine, so I am coming here to get confirmation / a clear answer and explanation of such.

More context: CPS and Cops have gotten involved multiple times. Parents suck fr. Made me stop working after a few months + wont let me learn how to drive until their in the mood to let me do so I guess (I've had my permit for almost a year now).

Physical stuff - There were three major incidents. Hands around my throat but no marks for the first time ( about a year ago ), slaps to the ear no recorded marks for the second, and slaps to the face with an obviously swollen face for the third (both 2nd and 3rd were a few months ago).

CPS only came to my house for the first incident after my school counselor, who I told, reported it to CPS, but nothing came of it as my parents denied everything. For the other two, officers and a cps worker had come to talk with me at school a few weeks ago but nothing has come of it either. Parents tried to bullshit a 5150 against me too, and all the officers that had ever talked to me regarding my situation have told me that all I can do is deal with it. I guess its legal to hit your kid with a lot of force, just as long as you don't leave bruises.

Lots of verbal / emotional stuff too. They have called me everything from a looser, dyke, to "fat piece of shit" and an "emotional manipulator". They have said they don't care if I have to sell my body to live on the streets, they don't care if I end up dead, and ever since a brief stay at the psych ward after I attempted, along with when they tried to get me 5150'd, they hopped that they would take me so that they could just abandon me there + they were happy to think about how I look there because I looked so pathetic when I was there before. Of course I have no evidence of any of it as most of the time, I have my devices taken away from me, including when I needed to do my homework leading me to flunk my AP class :)

I doubt anything will come of anything legally as its been months and the cops genuinely sided more with my parents but any advice helps:)
