Am I Obligated To Help My Ex's Lawyer Defend Him?
Location: Texas
My Ex boyfriend was arrested last year for SA of a child. He was living in an RV when he was arrested and when the crimes occured. His lawyer wants to access the RV for something to do with the complaint against him.
I have broken up with the boyfriend and am doing my best to limit contact with him. I believe his is guilty and I do not want to be part of his defence.
But his lawyer says that he needs to see the inside of the RV and is insisting the I am present when this happens. I don't want to. I've offered to give him the door code but he isn't accepting that.
Am I obligated to skip work and go let this guy into the RV? How do I get him to stop seeing me as some kind of defence resource? Should I call the police investigator and let her know that they are looking at the RV?
Edit to add:
1) I do not live there and never did. Since he was arrested I've moved and have not disclosed my address to him or to his lawyer.
2) I replied to the lawyer's text with "This is the gate code and this is the door code. The people who work the front desk can help you locate it if you have any problems. I've told (ex) that I am not interested in assisting with his defence.."
