Amazon Refusing Promised Refund After Delivery

Not sure what all to provide but my Amazon Fire TV I bought a couple years back burned out due to a known issue with the mandatory updates. After speaking with Amazon Support staff my wife was told on the phone we could buy ANY Amazon Fire Tv of ANY size and would be refunded 100%. We were in disbelief at this offer so she requested it in writing and was immediately emailed the following:

Hello,

Greetings from Amazon,

This email is regarding your recent contact.

We have promised a 100% refund on the order of your new amazon fire tv device. Once the device is delivered, you can contact us back and we will issue a 100% refund on it.

Hope this helps!

We called yesterday to confirm this arrangement and were told again this information was correct and upon delivery we could call for a complete refund. Well the TV was delivered today and lo and behold, Amazon support is attempting to decline the transaction stating that it’s wrong information. What can I do because this is absolutely nuts.
