Assaulted In My Girlfriend’s Dorm

Tonight, about a few hours ago, I was assaulted in my girlfriend’s dorm by an another guy. Backstory, the guy was staying at her dorm (he is a lgbt friend) with all of his belongings until he found an apartment. This went on for an extended time and she eventually asked him to leave, and that her and I both were over it. This turned the fight between them to me and him. This was 6 days ago. Since then, he seems to have found a resting spot with some friends. There was slight altercation between text but nothing with intent of what happened.

Fast forward to tonight, we get a knock on the door; guess who? He asked me standing outside of the doorway (with three others which I assume are his ride due to him having no vehicle) and asked me if I wanted to fight, to which I asked him if this is where he wanted to do that at. He proceeded to lunge at me and do everything in his power to literally hospitalize me. I had eventually brought him down, and when the momentum shifted he BIT my arm! With all of his jaw and strength! That shit hurt. Thankfully the RA arrived and him and his crew dipped out of the building. He is now either arrested or they are still searching.

So I guess my question now is how will he be charged likely. This will be a first time offense for him. My injuries (bitten arm, swollen face, cuts) were documented. I will be rather bitter if he is let off easy. But I can’t control it nor do I really understand it so I came here. Thanks and I will answer any plot holes if I left them
