At What Point Can I Sue My Landlord For Neglect To My Apartment?

Card image cap

Location: Wyoming

So, I (20M) live in an apartment with my roommate in Wyoming. It looked nice at first but it has a lot of problems. I know in Wyoming we have like no renters rights, but I'm wondering at what point of her ignoring us reaching out about things that need to be fixed in the apartment does it become blatantly neglectful of her duties as a landlord.

The laundry room attached to our building is complete ass, half the machines are completely broken, the ones that do run barely do shit, you have to dry your clothes three times to actually be dry at 1.50 a load. I dont think she legally has to do anything about the laundry room though, which is complete fucking bullshit to me because the laundry room was listed as part of the amenities we'd get for living here. But I digress.

As for the issues I'm damn near sure she has to address; none of our interior doors actually work. You have to jiggle them (like not just a casual lift up as you push, you gotta jiggle and lift and wiggle to get the damn things to close) to get them to even latch, and even then if you have a single window open the air pressure is enough to blow the doors open. Plus, none of the locks work, not even the bathroom door.

Also, three out of five heaters don't work, either. This is Wyoming, it gets FREEZING in the winter. We have those heater vents that are big white bars at the top of the wall, one in the living room, one in the bathroom, one in the kitchen, and one in each bedroom. The ones in the bedrooms and the one in the bathroom randomly stopped putting out anything back in December, and it's now April and it has yet to be addressed. We've pretty much gone all winter with over half our heat not working.

The most recent problem that I'm pissed about is the front door. So far that had been the only working door, and now thats busted too. The seal at the bottom has completely come off the board underneath. Thats the seal of our house, that could let critters in, air out or in, whether in, PEOPLE in... she HAS to fucking fix that, doesn't she??

Like I said I know Wyoming is absolute dog shit in terms of renters rights but at what point does this insanity cross into legality. At what point do I have the right to say "hey my heat is broken, and every single door in the house is broken, and you wont let US fix it so if YOU don't im gonna take legal action". This feels absolutely ridiculous to me. Surely she has to fix the heat and the front door at the very least.
