Bucks County, Small Claims Lawsuit Against Small Business. Writ Of Execution Filed, Now Sheriff Is Postponing Levy Due To Business Hours.

My band has gone through the process of suing a small business in Bucks County, PA for promising payment for a show we played and hosted, then refusing to pay us (April 2025). We have filed the Writ of Execution and have requested the Order for Service with the sheriff's office, so that they can serve the levy. The Order for Service packet was delivered over a month ago and when I recently checked status on it we received a status update stating 'NOT SERVED. DOES NOT OPEN TILL 4 PM'. I have responded to this email attempting to receive more clarification on what this means, but it sounds as if the sheriff will not attempt collection of funds if the business is not open during normal business hours. This process is becoming overwhelmingly frustrating. Some background on this business – they have multiple lawsuits on their hands including the construction of their place, which is for over 300k. Ours is for a measly amount in comparison, yet it still feels like we are pulling teeth to receive the money that is rightfully ours. The principle of the matter means just as much, if not more to us than the money. Many businesses that have initially attempted to sue this guy have given up, because the process is so convoluted and frustrating. I've no doubt this corrupt business owner knows this, so he continues to rip people off. Is it time to get a lawyer involved? Any advise with how to move forward would be greatly appreciated.
