Can I Still Make A Police Report?

Location: Illinois

I have a question regarding an incident that happened in October of 2023. I was in a relationship with a boy during that time, and I found out I was pregnant. After finding out, he wanted to "celebrate" with sexual intercourse. I did not, as I was in shock. He proceeded to get furious at me, and started a fight. I had to take him home, as for he did not have a car and license at the time. The whole car ride he was screaming at me. When we got to his house, he refused to leave my car and after awhile, took my keys and phone and ran into his house (the car was turned off at this point). He proceeded to block me from leaving his room after running into it with my things, and the proceeded to beat me after I tried getting past him.

My question is, could I make a police report now? I feel like I am ready to come out with my story, and hopefully inspire others to come forward with their stories, even if it's not against my ex boyfriend.
