Can My Parents/family Do Anything To Legally Stop Me Traveling?

Card image cap

First off I will say I wasn’t sure which flair to use so I hope I’ve chosen the correct one. That said, can any of my family members legally stop me from traveling?

Location: Illinois

I want to take an international trip for a week or two in the winter. I’ll pay for 50% out of my savings and my partner will be paying the other 50%. I’m 18 years of age with my own income, living with them. Now I know that living with them means they could cut me off from services they pay for (wifi, insurance, etc) but I already pay some of my bills I could afford the rest if push came to shove. I know they can also kick me out but I really don’t see them doing that and I could most likely find temporary residence somewhere else if they did. I have to apply for a passport and all those necessary steps for travel, but I can do that on my own. My most valuable items are things I paid for on my own, under my own name. Anything else I could honestly replace. Now given all this context I’m not sure what the worst they’d actually do is, they’re not super “mean” people, but whenever I speak of traveling internationally they try to put rules on it like “you cannot go unless you’ve completed certain tasks” or “you cannot go unless one of us comes with”. If it matters, I don’t have a criminal record or anything of that sorts that would limit my travel ability.
