Cant Make A Mandatory Courtdate Due To New Job
Location: Florida. Hello reddit thank you for taking the time to read this. I recently bought a new vehicle and the car wasnt drivable due to the brakes on the car going bad. I left it in my work parking lot till it was fixed and I was driving it home for the first time and got pulled over for no plates and registration. The officer was originally going to cut me a break but the supervisor pulled up and forced her to give me a court date. My court date is scheduled for 10/21. As of yesterday I got a very exciting new opportunity working for a cruise ship. Ive been going for this job for a WHILE now and officially got my offer letter yesterday. The problem is I ship off in 2 weeks. 3 weeks at the maximum and ill be on the other side of the country for a 7 month contract. The court date lands on my training dates which I can't miss or ill be fired and unemployed. I really am in a pickle and am not sure what to do. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
