Car Dealership Refusing To Honor Return Policy On Certified Vehicle I Purchased.

Hi,

Is there any legal recourse to get the dealership to honor the return policy? I bought a car last week that was advertised and having a Ford Blue Advantage Certified 90 day warranty or 4k miles warranty. As part of the warranty, there is a 14 day or 1k miles Money Back Guarantee. I bought the vehicle and one week later there are multiple mechanical issues, I had the vehicle inspected by a mechanic and they made a report with all the problems and I went back to the dealership.

When I bought the vehicle the policy was explained to me by the salesperson while looking at the paperwork, which when I checked had this specific page missing from the file they gave me for my records. The return policy is detailed the brochure they gave me for the warranty with all the paperwork, on the Ford corporate website and even on the dealership website in the small print of their own website's certified vehicle page. I do not have a signed copy of the warranty detailing the return policy.

They are refusing to honor the return policy and said they would take the car into service for repairs and "do their best to have it looked at by friday". They also gave me the runaround to get me copies of the signed certified warranty paperwork and inspection check list. I was only able to obtain it when I spoke to the sales manager, who repeated this claim that they do not participate in the return policy. The original salesperson changed their story saying it was only in case of mechanical failure and then later said there is no return policy.

I spoke to Ford corporate via chat and they claimed that dealerships participating in the certified program are supposed to honor the return policy. The customer service I called afterwards to confirm, said to refer to the website. Here are the details and wording of the guarantee.

At this point I no longer feel confident about the sale and I would prefer to return the vehicle. They have been unresponsive and inattentive. After I visited the dealership, I emailed them with all the details of the situation and the mechanic report. I asked them to clarify in writing their position on the return policy. No answer.

I have four days left in the return policy. The vehicle was financed through the dealership. I just want to know if there's anything that can be done.

Location: Texas.

TLDR: The certified car I bought has issues, they won't honor the return policy.
