Car Issues/legality?
I bought a 2016 Honda Odyssey (Location: Georgia) with about 164k miles on it because my old car was having a fair share of problems. Everything was running fine and the dealer specifically had the car listed as being with no significant issues although it was sold as-is (pretty much every dealer I've been to does the same so this did not alarm me). I bought the car the first of this month and so far it has had a lot of problems. Not even a full week after owning the car it stopped reversing, I took it back to the dealership and they brought it to their mechanic (no information provided onto who that was) because of the sudden problem I asked for a mechanics report of the vehicle which they said they would do. However when they called me to come get my vehicle (luckily reversing now) when I asked for the mechanic's report I was simply told "our mechanic cleared it if you want more go to a different mechanic". I have contacted a few but most tell me to go through the dealer (who does not want me to). Last night my battery light came on out of nowhere, but I was hopeful it is just my battery so I go to O'reiley's who check my battery and it turns out it's actually my alternator. After they checked it my car fully died and two of my friends came out to try to jump me. We got it jumped after draining my friend's poor portable battery. Unfortunately it only had enough life to reverse two feet and die with the power steering locked up so we put it in neutral and pushed. I have road side assistance through my insurance luckily so they came out to tow it to a mechanic. I haven't even made my first payment on this car so I wanted to see if there was anything to do.
