Client Demanding $1,000 Refund After Terminating Early, Threatening Lawsuit. Am I Wrong Here?

I'm a solo social media freelancer. I've been working with this client since May. For September, we signed a one-month agreement for $2,200 (paid upfront) covering posts every other day across three platforms, captions, scheduling, editing, engagement, content calendar planning, and revisions. The agreement explicitly says posts may be delayed if the client hasn't approved them, and she required approval on everything before it went live.

We'd already agreed to part ways amicably, so we also signed a completion agreement setting the end date as September 30. That agreement includes a release clause and an entire-agreement clause.

Important context: in-person filming isn't listed anywhere in the September agreement. I was doing those sessions purely as a courtesy while we wrapped things up.

This morning I texted about a planned content session and proposed about three hours, which is what we've typically done. She wanted five hours and to add a second location. I said three hours was what I'd planned for. She responded that I was committing a "bait and switch," said I'd "categorically failed" at the contract, and demanded $1,000 back. When I asked her repeatedly to name a specific deliverable I hadn't met, she never did.

She then told me to remove my access from all her accounts effective immediately, which I did. So she ended the arrangement early, not me. I offered $500 as a goodwill settlement. She rejected it and said I have one week to pay $1,000 or hear from her lawyer. She also implied things "coming to light" would cost me more than $1,000.

There's no refund provision in the agreement. I've documented everything.

Am I wrong to refuse? I really don’t want to get sued.
