Denied Excusal For Jury Duty When I Can't Show Up

Location: Oregon
I got summoned for Jury Duty starting at the beginning of next month. I tried to request excusal on the online eresponse form under "no transportation" and got denied the day after saying i'll get reimbursed for public transportation that I need to use. I currently work and am a student; I do not have my own transportation, and my parent won't be able to take me. I also currently live in a different town than where i got summoned which is about ~30-45mins. There is no public transportation available that I would not need to pay for, and I cannot afford a taxi even if I am reimbursed afterwards because I just started at my job and haven't been paid yet. I tried emailing that back to them and got an auto-response saying to follow my card with how to contact them, so I moved onto trying to call the scheduling department of the courthouse for the maybe 5 times i've called and left a voicemail over the past 2 weeks they have not called me back at all. I'm at a loss for what to do here. I cannot be relied on to show up, and I don't want to get in trouble for things that are out of my control when I have tried multiple methods of contacting them to further elaborate my situation.
