Ex-boyfriend Removed Condom Without My Consent Mid-sex

Location: Florida

This is a tricky situation I gave consent for sex with a condom. He removed it when I wasn’t looking and I didn’t realized it until we were done.

I have been exposed to STDs and a possible pregnancy.

This happened 2 weeks ago, I had so much anxiety I felt like passing out a couple of times. I’m currently waiting for an STI test. I got my period yesterday so not pregnant.

Is it worth pursing him legally? Going to the police? Suing him for money?

The microbiome/sti test alone was $250 and I might have more expenses if I’m infected.

Edit: I want to clarify this point: I tested positive for ureaplasma and BV last year when I was dating him. He was the only one I had sex with in years. He could have infected me, or it could have been something not transmitted sexually. But most likely it was. My point is that he knew about me spending all this money trying to cure it. And he went ahead and removed the condom undoing all my progress.

Is this considered sexual assault?

Honestly, my fear is going to go to the police or a lawyer and they are going to laugh at me because this is a dumb case and I wasn’t actually raped.

My anxiety has been through the roof since it happened 2 weeks ago. And a migraine that wont leave me. I wonder if I can sue him for distress as well :(
