We’ve Been Left Without Heating/ac For 5 Months

Hello everyone! I have a question for anyone that’s law savvy.

We had a heater/AC installed on our mobile home 3-5 years ago as our last one broke down. The service was great and we really enjoyed the unit for the first couple of years. At the time, we were told the unit had a 10 year warranty on it, how cool! However, it has been spotty for the last ~2 years and this year, it completely broke down. It had been working on and off and then around October, the unit started smoking and triggering the smoke alarm, as well as making some rather scary sounds. We’ve been trying to have it fixed since then, but the person who installed it has been having issues with the unit’s company sending the appropriate parts in a timely manner. By December the heater stopped running altogether. We’ve spent the entire winter freezing and using space heaters, which were not as effective and also burned through our cables, leaving us without electricity in one side of our kitchen (the side with the stove). We were told that the AC would still run, but once it got hot we tried running it and it won’t start either. The house was 85 degrees this last week, which caused our dog to overheat and she could not sleep for 2 whole days because of it. This has also burst our pipes, which we had to pay to repair. Overall this whole thing has been very frustrating and expensive trying to keep up with all the issues that stemmed from it. Is there something we can do about it legally? We don’t know when/if it will ever get fixed and we’re running out of money! Any advice is appreciated!

Also, 2 weeks ago we were told that the unit only had a 5 year warranty and we just about didn’t make it in the deadline.
