Ex Contacting My Minor Children
My ex who is not the parent of my minor children keeps trying to contact my kids. I had previously written texts and emails to him telling him he was not to contact my children again. This was about 2 years ago. He has repeatedly tried to friend them and message them on their socials. He has a record from when he killed dozens of of pets in our home while I was on the road for work and I came back to a home that was destroyed and dead animals where my children were staying. I called the cops and he received a deferred felony sentence after pleading guilty and paying a fine.
What are the steps I need to take to keep him away from my kids? What legal action can I take? Was the text and email stating my name and his telling him to not contact them enough to take further steps? He refuses to acknowledge his physical address even though I have it and in the past during our divorce claims he doesn’t get emails but it’s the same email his lawyer was using to contact him. He denies working but I have his address of where he works as well.
Can I still press charges for the neglect of my kids if I chose to do so as well? I was so torn between my best friend doing something so heinous and just leaving town with my kids and getting them out that beyond calling the cops about the animals I didn’t do anything else.
