Ex Is An Attorney, And Has Been Arrested Twice In The Last Year For Felony Drug Possession. Still Has Unsupervised Visitation.

Ex is an attorney and has been virtually untouchable throughout divorce proceedings. Doesn't pay child support, more than six months in arrears. Doesn't provide health insurance, did once then it was quickly dropped, never provided new insurance. Doesn't reimburse medical expenses. Doesn't reimburse extracurricular expenses. Was arrested in April of last year for a second degree felony drug possession. When I took him to court to demand supervised visitation with our child, judge dismissed it, saying the arrest hasn't gone to trial yet. Judge refused to enforce the child support ex owes. Judge took ex's word that he was providing health insurance, even though I called the insurance company and they said it was not active, and I had plenty of evidence from child's health providers asking for active insurance from ex. Basically the judge acted like I was wasting everyone's time. Judge granted ex MORE time with child to make up for the visitations I withheld while trying to get supervised visits in place to protect child from drugged out dad. Fortunately, ex hasn't utilized any of the newly awarded visitations because, spoiler alert, he's too busy doing drugs. He just got arrested again, almost to the day, in the same county, for felony drug possession. He was out immediately on bond. What can I possibly do to make the judge see that this man is not stable and shouldn't be allowed to have unsupervised visitation with our child? He represents himself in court, while I'm spending tens of thousands of dollars on attorneys to simply try to keep my child from being in the presence of a drug addict. How is my ex still able to practice law with two felony drug arrests? They haven't gone to trial yet. Does the bar even get notified of arrests? Will the judge even care that the ex was arrested again?
