Ex Will Not Pay Debt

Hello Reddit, I am searching for advice following a divorce finalized in the state of Missouri. When my ex and I divorced it was stated that he would pay one debt of approximately $5000 and I would handle the rest of approximately $20,000. This was due to the fact that I knew they did not have a job and would not be able to pay off more debt in a timely manner and I was attempting to repair my credit report. I figured the easiest route was to take the most of the debt as a “stupid tax” for marring them and move on. In the divorce decree it states that debt in collections (which this is) must be paid in 90 days in full. That was due in August 2025. No amount has been paid for the debt. I called my ex and they stated that are making payments, but the collection agency informs me that no amount has been put towards it. Is this a way for me to contest the not paying? How would I do it? I don’t know if they have a job if what their situations is. The only other price of information I have is they are also behind on child support from to a previous relationship. Any advice is appreciated.
Edit: I have already spoken to the collection agency about removing my name due to the divorce decree, but they denied it we entered the agreement together.
