Family Keeps Calling Police On Me
Two years ago I went no contact with my family with the exemption of my younger brother. I moved from New York to Connecticut with my boyfriend. They called the police multiple times to report a missing person, but since I am an adult (23 years old now) there was nothing they could really do to make me contact them, I just had to call their local precinct in NY to notify the police that I am not missing and not in danger. Even after blocking them I would be spammed with unknown number calls, they somehow found my boyfriend's number and started calling him too, they would try to talk to me through my little brother's phone, etc.. It was quiet for a few months until today, when the local police (CT) showed up at my door for a wellness check with my mother waiting in the car. She told them I haven't contacted anyone in 2 years (I showed them messages with my little brother) and that she didn't know why I wasn't talking to anyone (I showed them the message I sent her explaining I would be going no contact), they took my number and left. My question now is: Is there any way to stop this from happening again? This has been going on for two years now, my mother now knows EXACTLY where I live (I have NO IDEA why the police brought her along with them). Is this enough to file a restraining order with? Is there anything else legally I can do to get her to stop doing this to me?
