Family Trying To Claim Ownership Of Land Florida

Card image cap

Location: Florida

So my mother has an ongoing legal case regarding a piece of property that she bought from her father back in 2008. The property was originally bought in 2001 and listed as Grandfather OR Grandmother in 2008 my mother bought it from my grandfather, and we lived there for around 12 years. In 2020 my father passed away from covid and while he was in the hospital on the ventilator my mother was staying with me at a different property so that she had support. After his passing my aunt got my grandma (who we believed to be developing dementia) to put the property in an advanced life estate my grandmother then passed shortly after. My aunt is claiming that our ownership was invalid and she even got the property appraiser to transfer her name solely on the listing for the property and she had the utilities turned off as well. Now she is trying to take us to court we cannot afford a lawyer we do have proof of purchase and a copy of the original deed. Neither my aunt nor my grandparents ever lived on the property. Do we have a way to defend ourselves from someone jumping through legal loopholes trying to take land we bought almost 20 years ago?
