Fence

Card image cap

Location: SK, Canada

For context:

There was a fence built in between me and my neighbor before I moved in. The old neighbors moved out and new ones moved in.

Fence has been standing since at least 2008. I was told the fence was actually on their property.

New neighbor wanted to tear the fence down this year and put up a new fence, which I was ok with. I don't require a fence there, so I don't care. I asked him if he knew who that fence belonged to, because I was sure it was him. He later came back and stated it was on my property. I said ok, I still didn't care it was fine and he put a new fence in place of where the old one was. Again, totally fine.

Now he is putting things on "my side" of the fence-wires, posts etc in clear view of me, but not for him-again, I have no idea where the pins actually are, and stupidly took his word for it.

I asked them if they knew where the property lines were and that we should get that figured out now. I got sloughed off.

I'm assuming I now have to get a surveyor in to mark the pins? Please advise.

Edited for location.
