Found Out I Have An Eviction On My Record

I recently discovered that an eviction was entered against me after being denied for an apartment. I had no prior knowledge of this eviction from December 2023. I vacated the rental property on May 27, 2023 due to a domestic violence situation and relocated with my child to a safer home. In early June 2023, I went to the leasing office and signed paperwork to be removed from the lease. On July 1 2023, I had moved into my new apartment which I resided in until September 30 2024.

I have learned that I was never officially removed from the lease. The eviction was filed in November 2023, months after I had already moved out. The apartment complex served my child’s father at the residence, but I was never personally served and never received notice of the eviction proceedings.

I only became aware of the eviction when I was denied housing.

I am currently eight months pregnant and facing homelessness as a result. I have attempted to obtain documentation from the apartment complex regarding the lease removal, but they claim they do not have it. I also went to the courthouse and was told that I cannot file a motion to vacate the judgment. I am at a loss as to what options are available to correct this situation and would greatly appreciate any guidance
